When The Terminator came out in 1984, something clicked for me.
I was 13. I couldn’t name it yet. But the world they built—every piece of equipment worn and carried by people trying to survive something impossible—that was the design language I wanted to speak.I just didn’t have the tools yet.
Twenty years later, I designed the Pursuit glove for ICON. It went on to become the best-selling glove in the brand’s history. Then in 2009, Terminator Salvation hit theaters. Christian Bale, as John Connor, wore the Pursuit glove throughout the film.
No paid placement, no prop-house seeding, not even an ask.
They just used it.
And left the ICON logo completely intact.
