The original Lucky Lid graphic was created around 2007 by Tanner Goldbeck—the primary illustrator behind some of ICON’s most recognizable helmets.
In 2022, for ICON’s 20th anniversary, I reinterpreted that graphic, along with 12 others, in a traditional sailor style—a visual language I’ve carried with me since my time in the Navy—and applied it to a limited run of ICON Stick & Poke helmets.
Then I tattooed that artwork back onto Tanner.
That’s a full loop. No backups. No do-overs.
Just the ink, needle, and the will to do it.
